About

I am a first-generation Latina/Brazilian pursuing a Ph.D. in Translational Biomedical Sciences at Ohio University. I have a postgraduate certification in Clinical Research from Harvard University, and I am currently completing a certification in Biostatistics at The Institute for Statistics Education in the USA. Additionally, I hold a certification in Research Methods and Statistics from the Hispanic Society of Scientific Researchers.

With eight years of experience as a lecturer in Ecuador, I have taught epidemiology, research methods, biostatistics, and biology courses. My passion for research is evident through my involvement in different projects. My expertise in research methods and biostatistics has enabled me to contribute meaningfully to projects on various health-related topics. These projects have included organ donation, malnutrition, systematic evolution, food insecurity, breastfeeding, and chronic diseases.

In addition to my academic work, I have volunteered on various projects in South Africa. I began conducting research in my first semester of undergraduate studies in Brazil and have since been dedicated to advancing healthcare and improving health outcomes through rigorous research.
